Keeping this in mind, we at IHS acknowledge the diversity of our student population and understand the importance of promoting cultural awareness. We have adopted an “inclusive” curriculum that remains respectful of differences ensuring that all students are included in all aspects of the school, acknowledging the unique differences students may possess. Students learn how to synthesize cultural differences into their knowledge base.
We build a significant cultural experience in our classroom lessons and extracurricular activities, creating a positive environment where students are respectful of different backgrounds. Structured classroom activities/school programmes highlight the cultural diversity of the students.
We organize special events at the school that raises awareness about diversity, which is built into the fabric of the school. Programmes held to commemorate UAE National Day, Indian Republic Day, and Annual Day programmes and others offer students a range of cultural experiences that develop open-mindedness, critical judgment, and aesthetic appreciation.
